Sarah Pike

Associate Attorney

Bio

Sarah Pike joined Haeggquist & Eck as an associate in 2022 and represents employees in claims involving wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, and wage theft. 

 

A graduate of University of California Berkeley School of Law, Sarah was previously a term law clerk for Chief United States District Judge Dana Sabraw of the Southern District of California. She has also served as a Berkeley Law Public Interest Fellow at One Fair Wage & Employee Rights Center in San Diego, where she supported low-wage workers on employment issues through case consultation, public education, and agency filing and representation.  In that role, she also spearheaded a bi-monthly free legal clinic for service workers, and advocated for industry changes by drafting legislation, commenting on agency protocols and proposed rules, and supporting impact litigation. 

 

While at Berkeley, Sarah interned with the ACLU Immigrants’ Right Project, where she provided legal research and writing support for ongoing impact litigation. She also spent a summer with a San Francisco plaintiff’s firm with class action expertise and externed with United States District Judge Edward M. Chen.  In addition, Sarah spent a semester as a Consumer Justice Student Advocate with East Bay Community Law Center in Berkeley. Sarah also served as an Articles Editor on the California Law Review, helping to select articles for publication. Sarah performed over 200 hours of pro bono work while at Berkeley, including with the National Women’s Law Center and Legal Aid at Work.  She graduated in May 2020, with honors including Order of the Coif, Public Interest and Social Justice Certificate, and Pro Bono Honors with Highest Distinction. 

 

Prior to law school, Sarah served as a director with Ivy Global, an educational publishing company.  She holds a BA in women’s studies and international development studies from McGill University. 

 

In her free time, Sarah enjoys hiking, yoga, travel, vegan cooking, and animals of all kinds (especially her two adopted cats).
