01

Tell us your story

Book your free case evaluation by calling us at
619-342-8000. If it is something we can help with, we will book you for a free case evaluation with Alreen. If we can’t help, we will try and find you someone who can.

02

Gather evidence

Once we decide to work together, you will give us any documents or other evidence you may have accumulated so far around your situation. We will tell you what additional material and evidence will be helpful, and help you gather it.

03

Get us into your shoes

This involves telling us your whole story in more detail. We want to get into your shoes, so we understand your work and workplace, what happened to you, and how it impacted you.

04

Tell Others Your Story

We will then synthesize all the information in a document called a Complaint to tell your story to others in the most persuasive manner, detailing the laws that were violated.

05

Answer Questions About Your Story

This is of course more challenging than telling us your story, but we’re with you at every step of the way, helping you prepare, and sitting right beside you while you answer questions posed by the other side. We stand up for you and won’t let them bully you again!

06

Consider a settlement offer

One of the biggest decisions in your case is whether to take the opposing side’s settlement offer. We of course aim for the largest settlement possible. Typically, this will be less than what you might win at trial, but you are certain to get it (whereas trials are never 100% certain), and you will get it much faster. Our job is to help you understand the pros and cons of a settlement versus a trial, your chances of winning at trial, and to help you make the decision. Ultimately, you’re in the driver’s seat of this decision, and we support and advise you along the way.

07

(Maybe) Go to Trial

98% of civil cases settle. However, in the 2% of cases in which we think you’re far better off going to trial, we will prepare you and take your case to trial. Trials are typically scheduled 12-18 months after the start of the case, and are over in a week or two once the trial starts.
