The

Haeggquist & Eck
Foundation

We express our commitment to impact and giving back through The Haeggquist & Eck Foundation. Through our Foundation, we support individuals and organizations that provide a voice, opportunities, and empowerment to the marginalized and disenfranchised members of our community, including those who suffered discrimination, harassment, or abuse.

A few of the projects we support through the Foundation include:

Alreen worked at the California Innocence Project while in law school, and developed a deep understanding of the ways in which the criminal justice system can harm the wrongfully convicted. The Project provides pro bono legal services to the wrongfully convicted, and has successfully fought for the release of 35 innocent people who never should have been in jail.

Alreen Haeggquist is a founder and advisory board member of Think Dignity. Unfortunately, San Diego has not been able to provide homes for all those who need them, resulting in a large unhoused community in the city. To meet these needs, Alreen co-founded Think Dignity with four other women. The organization provides legal advocacy for homeless youth, Know Your Rights programs, survival supply distribution, and operates Mobile Operations of Dignity (MOD) Fresh Start shower units.
Our home county, San Diego county, is home to some of America’s most diverse and majestic ecosystems and wildlife. Unfortunately, almost 200 species of plants and animals are imperiled in the county, more than any other county in America. We are proud to support the Nature Conservancy’s efforts to help keep San Diego county one of the most scenic and bio-diverse parts of the nation.
