Clemency Condry

Post-Bar Law Clerk

BIO

Clemency Condry joined Haeggquist & Eck in November as a Post-Bar Law Clerk, where she supports the firm’s mission to advocate for those who have experienced discrimination, harassment, and abuse. She brings a unique background in both law and storytelling to her work, helping clients clearly and powerfully communicate their experiences within the legal system.

Clemency began her legal career in 2023 as a legal assistant where she gained hands-on experience in personal injury, employment, environmental, and transactional law. In 2025, she volunteered with the Legal Aid Society of San Diego’s domestic violence restraining order clinic, assisting survivors in navigating the legal process for protection and safety. She is currently barred in New York and awaiting admission to the California Bar.

Originally from England, Clemency moved to the United States at 16 and has lived in several states across the country. Before entering the legal field, she studied Documentary Journalism at the University of Missouri and worked with human-rights nonprofits in the U.S., Thailand, Myanmar, South Korea, and Israel. Her time in Israel, working with lawyers lobbying for legislation to protect victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation, was a turning point, showing her the power of legal advocacy to create real change.

Clemency earned her First-Class B.A. in Law from the University of Cambridge in 2022. She chose to pursue plaintiff-side employment law because it allows her to blend her storytelling skills with her passion for justice by amplifying voices that too often go unheard.

She joined Haeggquist & Eck because of the firm’s commitment to protecting marginalized communities, challenging power imbalances, and fighting for equity. As a proud feminist, she’s especially proud to be part of a woman-owned firm.

Outside of work, Clemency enjoys playing pickleball, hiking, and long walks with her husband. She’s also a devoted cat mom to two furry companions.
