Sheila Templeton joined Haeggquist & Eck, LLP as an associate specializing in employment litigation in 2021. In her role, she represents employees in claims involving wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour violations at work.
Sheila received her law degree and bachelor’s degree from the University of San Francisco. During law school, Sheila served as a judicial extern to Federal Magistrate Judge Maria-Elena James in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California. Additionally, she served as co-president of the Women’s Law Association, was a member of La Raza on her school campus, and holds the CALI Award for First Amendment Issues of Freedom of Speech.
Sheila cares deeply about fighting gender discrimination from all angles. To that end, prior to joining HAE, she worked with criminal defense lawyer Paula Canny to ensure inmates at local jails in Oregon and Hawaii have access to free menstrual pads and tampons.
The daughter of an immigrant and native of San Diego, Sheila is passionate about social justice and equality. When she’s not working, you can find her solving jigsaw puzzles.
